Midsummer Nights Dream

Through Washington Liberty High school, I was able to perform in A Midsummer Nights Dream, adding another Shakespeare production to my resume. I played Nick Bottom, the arrogant and over-dramatic actor in the Rude Mechanicals. Bottom was a unique challenge for me as he is specifically comic relief, and I’ve never played a character like that before. I worked hard to find a balance between over the top comedy and genuine sincerity, as I felt Bottom was a deeper character than most think. But I also had the most freedom Ive ever had in playing a character and relished the entire experience.
